Keep the Beat Cause Campaign

Keep the BeatSM is an exciting new cause campaign and national education program working to save more lives from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

Keep the Beat strives to expand public awareness of SCA, broaden education efforts, and make lifesaving treatment readily accessible in communities all across the country. This includes fundraising efforts to place automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in schools nationwide.

Across America, the lives of kids and adults alike are being lost to a killer most people don't even know about — Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). What's more, this is a killer we can do something about. Keep the Beat is a nationwide campaign dedicated to raising awareness of SCA and the lifesaving benefits of early defibrillation.

A key focus of the campaign is to equip our nation's schools with automated external defibrillators (AEDs). More than 20,000 schools already have them. But many more are without this critical means to protect the students, staff, and community members in their classrooms, offices, auditoriums, cafeteria, and on their athletic fields every day.

Keep the Beat will reach out to communities to strive towards the goal that wherever and whenever SCA strikes, a defibrillator is readily available—and that someone knows how to use it.
