Power / Battery
The defibrillator's battery must contain enough energy to successfully complete the software upgrade before the upgrade will proceed. The upgrade consumes about 15 minutes of the battery's capacity.
If the battery is too low in capacity to perform the upgrade, the software upgrade program will alert you and will provide information regarding ordering supplies. If the battery is low in capacity but the device still indicates an "OK" status, the software upgrade will complete, however, it cannot predict how soon the battery may become low. The readiness indicator provides the status of the battery and should be checked routinely.
The device will need to be turned on for a minimum of 10 seconds. You will need to check the device LCD for no battery or service wrench indications or for the Readiness Indicator showing a status of "OK". Turn the device off.
