Minimum Requirements to Update Your Device
Host Computer Needs:
Minimum Hardware Requirements:
- PC with 700 megahertz or higher processor clock speed
- 256 megabytes of RAM
- 200 megabytes of available hard disk space
- Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor
- CD-ROM or DVD drive
- Keyboard and mouse (or compatible pointing device)
- LIFEPAK 500 AED: Available RS-232 serial DB9 port or USB port
- LIFEPAK CR7® Plus or LIFEPAK EXPRESS® AED: Available USB port or IrDA port
Software/System Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, with Service Pack 2
- Internet connection
To check for Service Pack 2, right click on your My Computer icon on your desktop, click properties. This will show you the operation system and level of service packs installed.
The installation program will test your Internet connection prior to installing the software onto your computer. An active Internet connection is required. If you do not have an active Internet connection, you cannot install the update software onto your computer.
While the software is installing on the PC, it needs to test that there is an Internet connection. You will see a message similar to this:

Note: If there is no Internet connection, the software will not complete its installation and you will not be able to update your LIFEPAK 500 Devices.
