Upgrading Does Not Complete, Errors

NOTE:
The upgrade program will cause the AED to show the wrench indicator during the upgrade process. It will remove the wrench indicator only when the AED is successfully upgraded. If the upgrade process is interrupted and the AED displays the wrench indicator, make sure the device is turned off and restart the upgrade cycle from the beginning. Do not place an AED that shows a wrench indicator back into service.

In the process of upgrading, there was a connection lose between the IrDA adapter and the LIFEPAK CR Plus AED, try again to do the software upgrade. If there are any problems and the software can not find the device or can not complete the installation, please contact Physio-Control ERS Technical Support.

Potential items to be aware of and look for:

  • OK does not come on after the update
  • Wrench or Attention Icons display

What to do:

  • Immediately call Physio-Control ERS Technical Support for help.

The CP icon comes on

What to do:

  • Call Physio-Control ERS for a new battery pak.

This screen shows you the version of software that is installed on the device and the upgrade version. In this particular case, the software has already been installed -- both the current and upgrade versions are 3.00.

At the end of the software update, you would also see the message below indicating the software has already been installed.
